Ellipse Hair Removal

Can all hairs be treated?

As the treatment relies on absorption of light in the hair pigment (melanin), the most efficient treatment is seen with dark hair. The lighter the skin, the more pronounced the distinvction between hair and skin colour, making treatment easier. However, Ellipse has pre-programmed settings for different hair and skin colours to adjust the energy output to your needs.

Which thread veins can be treated?

Thread veins on all parts of your body can be treated. The most common treatments are for superficial veins in the facial, chest or leg areas. As the treatment relies on absorption of light by the haemoglobin in the blood, the most effective results are seen with light skin. The lighter the skin, the more pronounced the contrast between the vessel and the skin, making pigmentation easier.

Acne treatment

Acne is caused by the body's increased production of the hormone androgen, which stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. The increased production of oil causes the pores to become blocked, so that the oil cannot come up the skin surface. The acne itself is an infection caused by the skin bacteria that feed on and break down this oil.

As the bacteria multiply, waste products and sebacic acid are created, and the sebaceous gland become inflamed - causing what is known as a blackhead, whitehead or a pimple.
